Biomass pellets are a clean, economical, refined and densified biomass fuel that is made from wood residuals, rice husks, straw, cotton stalks, corn stalks, leaves, grass, bagasse, alfalfa and other biomass materials. They are especially ideal for automatic combustion heating system such as the biomass pellets cooking stove and boiler. Besides, they are also widely used in horse stable.
Biomass pellets are made by pellet mills. Below are the pictures of various kinds of biomass pellets made by our DIY pellet mills. If you are interested in our pellet mill, you can send us your samples of raw materials for making biomass pellets first, and we are glad to test our machines and make pellets for you!

Besides, making your own biomass pellets also solves the problem of dealing with the biomass waste in your yard or on your farm, thus making your place clean and tidy.

Biomass Pellet Market
Biomass pellet market has grown fast in recent years. In 2006 the production of biomass pellets was between 6 and 7 million tons worldwide (not including Asia, Latin America and Australia). In 2010 the global biomass pellets production reached 14.3 million tons.
The current global market volume of biomass pellets of around 16 million metric tons annually (mt/a) is projected by Pöyry to increase to 46 million mt/a by 2020. Below is the chart of global production of biomass pellets (Bioenergy Insight, July 2011- Pöyry)
